Description

Morrison Industrial Equipment is looking for CDL Licensed Technicians in our Elkhart branch located at 2988 Paul Dr, Elkhart, IN 46514. We are seeking a skilled and reliable Mechanic with a Commercial Driver’s License to join our team. As a CDL Licensed Technician, you will primarily perform technician work while also driving as needed. Monday-Friday, first shift hours, and works around 40 hours a week with opportunity for overtime.

In this role, approximately 90% of the time will be dedicated to hands-on wrenching and mechanical tasks, while the remaining 10% will involve driving responsibilities.

Our CDL Licensed Technicians Typically:

  • Have a Valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License) with a clean driving record.
  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience as a technician or mechanic is preferred.
  • Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and materials.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to the dynamic needs of the job.
  • Work Independently with Minimum Supervision.
  • Value the Importance of Safety.
  • Ability to lift 80 pounds due to Lift and Move Functions.

Essential Functions:

Technician Work:

  • Diagnose and Repair Equipment Breakdowns
  • Have Prior Experience Repairing forklifts or Other Industrial Equipment
  • Communicating Effectively any Needed Repairs with Customers
  • Can Provide a Basic Toolset for Work
  • Complete Work Orders in a Timely Manner
  • Coordinate with Parts and Service Department Daily
  • Keep Work Van Clean and Stocked with Necessary Supplies
  • Comply with all Safety Procedures within Morrison’s guidelines
  • Consistently and Reliably attend Shift Ready to Work when Scheduled
  • Perform any Other Duties as Assigned

Driving Responsibilities:

  • Keep an Accurate Detailed Record of Delivery and Pickup
  • Monitor Truck Maintenance
  • Maintain Accurate Inventory of Packages and Materials
  • Load and Unload Vehicle According to Time Allotted
  • Administrative Tasks such as Printing Paperwork, Planning Routes, Managing Emails
  • Assist with Training
  • Consistently and Reliably attend Shift Ready to Work when Scheduled
  • Perform any Other Duties as Assigned
