Morrison Industrial Equipment is looking for a Summer 2025 Management Intern with our GM PARTS TEAM at our Central Parts Distribution Center, located at 2139 Kalamazoo Ave SE, Grand Rapids, MI. This is a first-shift, Monday-Friday position.
Morrison Industrial Equipment is a family-owned material handling company, established in 1953, with 12 locations across Michigan and Northern Indiana. We specialize in providing our customers with sales, service, parts, and repairs on a variety of industrial equipment. Our goal for this internship program is to embody the principles of Morrison Industrial: devoted customer care and supply chain management. The intern will diligently work to learn our customer experience, process, and values in all areas of the company from our technicians to our executive members. This internship is designed to strengthen emotional intelligence and critical thinking. Through conversations, process training, hands-on projects, and coaching the intern will be able to learn the ins and outs of this fourth-generation family business.
The internship would start on May 27th and ends August 15th.
Compensation: $16-$18/hour, paid weekly

What you will be doing:
You will learn about the different branches of Morrison Industrial Equipment and how they work together to be our customers’ Material Handling Experts.
You will have weekly assignments and projects to apply the knowledge gained from different aspects of the company.
You will travel to different branches, business units, customers, and vendors to grasp the different aspects of the business.
You will meet many different employees - from our technicians and parts specialists to our owners.
You will have one on one conversations with some of our valued employees to understand what it means to work for Morrison Industrial Equipment.
You will learn the basics of our ERP system and how information is recorded and sent to every department.
You will undergo a safety course with forklifts to understand the product that started it all at Morrison Industrial.
You will work on a project throughout the summer applying the knowledge and skills learned throughout the time here that will end in a presentation with management showing what you have learned and accomplished.
You will be challenged to think on your feet and learn how decisions are made at all levels in a family business.

Required Qualifications and Skills:
Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future.
Must be enrolled in a college or university at the time of the internship or co-op program.
Must be willing to work all scheduled hours during the week (30-40 Hours).
Have a valid, unrestricted Driver’s License.
Must have reliable transportation.
